As a result of many years of experience IHRICON has developed its own unique approach to empowering people in their local communities. IHRICON's project entitled "Women Empowerment for Sustainable Peace & Human Rights", Women Peace Volunteers has achieved international recognition for assisting local women to take control of their own destiny within their own communities. Peace builders from Burma, Indonesia and Cambodia have visited IHRICON's local partner organizations as well as the location of the original project to gain a better understating of how a scheme like this works in practice. Having been to Nepal and been convinced of the benefits these organisations are now planning to launch the same initiative in their respective countries.
