Project Proposal Writing training programme conducted at IHRICON Kathmandu, 20th June 2009
The Institute of Human Rights Communication Nepal (IHRICON) organized a training programme on "Project Proposal Writing" at IHRICON office from 17th to 19th August 2009.
The training curricula was designed and supported by Mr. Nick Barry, an expert from the United Kingdom. In attendance were 15 participants from various NGOs, people from the media as well as people from academic organisations. There were 1o women participants and 5 men participants. The training was totally focused on the practical approach to writing project proposal. Ms. Shobha Gautam, the founder chairperson of IHRICON, Mr. Kapil Kafle, an executive director of IHRICON and Mr Bishnu Hari Bhandari, a programme officer of IHRICON all acted as resource persons for the training.
Karma Chezom Lama from Jumla and Hema Bahadur Rokaya from Dolpa two participants expressed their satisfaction about the training. They expressed their gratitude to IHRICON for running such a relevant and enjoyable event. They further said that they were very much delighted by the way the event had enabled us to understand much more about how to write proposals and they were looking forward to using the news skills they had gained in the development work in which they involved..
The programme was opened by Kapil Kafle, the Executive Director of IHRICON. He highlighted the importance of the training programme both to IHRICON as well as the participants. Mr. Nick Barry the facilitator and volunteer then began to present the main content of the 3 day event.
At the end of the event the participants had the chance to ask the experts further questions that they had about this very important subject.
The programme successfully concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants by Mina Sharma, General Secretary of IHRICON, Ms. Shobha Gautam and Mr. Nick Barry.
